Try Matchstick Men or Raising Arizona or Leaving Las Vegas. A lot of the others are really cheesy action movies.

I don't think he's bad but he's nowhere near great. I just find the guy entertaining and you can tell that he's got a sense of humor about himself. One of my ex's used to say that I remind her of him -- something about my mannerisms :-\

Okay, this is going to sound really stupid but there is something appearance-wise that I can't come around appreciating Cage. Something about his face that is too friendly to be taken in seriously? I'm not sure what it is but I'm not buying him. He doesn't ellicit any strong reactions from me.

James Cagney scares the hell out of me and he's not my ideal of a leading man but I like him because he convinces me in some way. Cage doesn't do that.

That's by the director who did Amélie and City of Lost Children. Both were good films. I think his style of film making would make a pretty awesome animated film.
